Shana Johnston is known for her discerning perspective, deep local knowledge, and highly personalized approach to Denver real estate. A resident of Denver for more than 30 years, she understands the city beyond market cycles; by neighborhood character, architectural nuance, and how homes truly live. Born and raised in Los Angeles and a second-generation real estate broker, Shana grew up immersed in the business, developing an early appreciation for value, negotiation, and client advocacy.

After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Southern California, Shana began her professional career as an advertising executive at leading agencies in Venice, California and Denver, Colorado. There, she contributed to the strategy and execution of multi-million-dollar campaigns for well-recognized consumer and trade brands. This experience continues to inform her ability to position properties thoughtfully, communicate value clearly, and navigate today’s competitive market with intention.

Later, Shana earned a degree in Interior Design and went on to own and operate her own interior design business for more than 15 years. Her work centered on space planning, kitchen and bath remodels, and fixed finishes; always balancing form, function, and timeless materials. She later served as both designer and general contractor on the full renovation of her own 1950s ranch home in Denver’s Bonnie Brae neighborhood, transforming it into an open, modern, and enduring residence without altering the original footprint.

This hands-on experience gives Shana a level of insight few agents possess. She understands construction, building codes, materials, and renovation costs, allowing her to advise clients in real time. Shana helps sellers prepare and position their homes intelligently, and helps buyers assess potential, constraints, and value without needing to engage additional professionals simply to gain clarity.

A wife and mother of two, Shana enjoys gardening, skiing, and traveling with her family, often returning to favorite places in Southern California, Northern Michigan, and the mountains near Winter Park Resort.
